perspective
2014 - 2020

As part of the project, 77 APRD vehicles (Road Traffic Ambulances) were purchased – used by the Police road traffic services to carry out activities at the sites of road accidents and traffic disasters. As part of using the generated savings, in 2022, the purchase of another 40 vehicles was planned. As part of the project, 77 total stations were purchased – devices for laser measuring points in space, and training for the users of the equipment was conducted. The Police focuses its activities primarily on prevention and prevention, but an important element of the road safety system is the effectiveness of the Police’s actions taken post factum. When a road accident or collision occurs, ensuring the safety of other road users depends primarily on the proper security of the scene, which requires the use of appropriate technical measures. It is also important to ensure safe working conditions for the officers themselves who perform inspection activities. It is also desirable to shorten the time of performing these activities in order to facilitate traffic on all roads passing in the vicinity of the accident site. Moreover, police officers are often the first to appear at the scene of road accidents and provide pre-medical assistance to victims. The speed of intervention and its effectiveness, including through the use of appropriate technical measures, directly affect the chance of saving the health and life of the injured. The task of the Police at the scene of the road accident is also to carry out procedural activities, in particular in the scope of disclosing and documenting forensic traces. Police officers must also have adequate office space to prepare documentation as well as perform other procedural activities, such as hearing witnesses.
